

FIPGC, the International Federation of Pastry, Ice-Cream and Chocolate, is setting up the “FIPGC Seal of Approval” to safeguard quality products. Award of the seal of approval is reserved for manufacturing companies of raw materials, technologies, tools and services. To obtain the “FIPGC Seal of Approval” enterprises involved have to meet demanding quality standards, by which is meant:
- Raw materials
- Production processes
- Genuineness of product
- Environmentally sustainable processes
Enterprises attaining the Seal will contribute to the formation of a united front of food enhancement. This will be based on local identity and environmental protection for safeguarding food quality and Italian manufacturing. Having obtained the “FIPGC Seal of Approval”, the company may use it for marketing purposes and may include it in printed form on its product packaging or product branding.
Who can attain the “FIPGC Seal of Approval”?
Any local producers or enterprises – subject to verification of the requirements – belonging to the above categories in the sectors of: agri-food, traditional craft, industrial or large-scale retail channels (large-scale distributors).
What advantages does the “FIPGC Seal of Approval” offer?
The Seal is certified and issued subject to approval by professionals belonging to the internationally recognised International Federation of Pastry, Ice-Cream and Chocolate. For this reason, products or services wishing to bear the Seal must be able to guarantee various kinds of advantages to the consumer. These include guarantees of high-level quality control and quality monitoring and verification of the origin of the product or service. The enterprise will have to apply specific procedures and adhere to precise guidelines to ensure a full guarantee of the authenticity, traditional character and high quality of the product.
How can I attain the “FIPGC Seal of Approval”?
To apply for the Seal, send an email to: sponsor@federazionepasticceri.it. This is a pool of professionals belonging to the Italian Excellence Team for Pastry, Ice-Cream and Chocolate and the Cake Designers Team of Excellence, who will evaluate your proposal and request the necessary documentation and samples of the product(s) concerned in the approval application. A commission will evaluate the application according to the requirements described above.
